Troop 1 Kingston Life to Eagle Preparation

To earn Eagle, you must demonstrate responsible leadership in organizing your Eagle service project, as well as earned 21 Merit Badges. The steps to Eagle are complicated, but can also be fun to do. Take one step at a time. The most difficult step is the first to get started.

Once you become Life rank, you will be assigned an Eagle Project Coach. Your Coach is a member of our Troop Committee, an Eagle Scout and/or has Eagle sons. He has successfully helped other boys through the steps to Eagle. If you do not know who your Coach is, ask the Scoutmaster. The Eagle Coach's job is to help you understand what must be done to become Eagle. He will advise on and approve your Eagle Service Project requirement. Anytime you have questions, project ideas, or problems contact your Eagle Coach. Meet and talk with your Eagle Coach often.

Life Scouts must use several guides to help complete requirements to become the highest rank Eagle. Very important are those that help you plan your Eagle Service Project. Go to the links listed, open and print out two copies of the enclosed Life to Eagle Preparation Guide. One copy is for you now that you are Life, and the other copy is for your parents. After you have printed and read the Guides and Workbook, then meet with your Eagle Coach.
